I personally take to hauling all the assorted pot plants, magazines, ammo, drinks, cigarettes, and such to the elevator on each level so when I finally get the recycler I can just ride the elevator floor-to-floor recycling everything. There is an item you'll get on the Operations Deck called the recycler, that lets you convert random junk into nanites. Do you know any games that have the same or similar system requirements to Torchlight? Unrelated question: My video card died a few weeks ago.
Other than that, what "build" do you recommend for my character? I like the idea of PSI + hacking, however a lot of people recommend that only on the second playthrough, but I doubt that there will be one as I don't usually replay games (at least not in the first few years after the completion). Is it possible to find the card in a different level or even different deck, and then return to that area? Will I miss areas if I only stick to the main objectives of the game? I couldn't visit every room in the previous level because I didn't have a card and a code to open some doors. I just reached another "level", by which I mean that I entered an area which has a different map.
